William Carl Larkin "Bill", 84, of Cheswold, DE, passed away in Dover, DE on March 30, 2022.

He was born in Delaware County, PA on October 16, 1937 the son of the late William Compton Larkin and Lucia Anna Elisabeth Larkin (Weiland).

He graduated from Cecilton High School in 1956 and served in the US Navy from 1956-1960. He later served in the Air Force Reserves from 1973-1996.

Bill had formerly resided in Cecil County, MD, Smyrna, DE, Mt. Grove, MO, and Clayton, DE before moving to Cheswold.

His hobbies included playing the organ, dancing, remote control airplanes, and anything to do with airplanes, trains, and boats.

He is survived by his children, Carla Ann Schwarz (Douglas), William "Barry" Larkin, Donna Elizabeth Brennan, and David "Scott" Larkin (Victoria); grandchildren, Jaime Lynn Larkin, Laura Schwarz Morales (Ismael), Jared Douglas Schwarz (Leah), Patrick "Cole" Brennan (Jennifer), William "Cody" Brennan, and Cherie Brianna Larkin; great-grandchildren, Zacary William Larkin, Jeffrey David McKnight Jr., Benjamin Charles McKnight, and Charlotte Alice Morales; and a special friend and companion, Phyllis Ford-Ewing.

He was predeceased by his siblings Alma V. Bailey (James), Frederick C. Petersen Jr., and Mary E. Larkin.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM Monday April 11 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 10 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Massey Air Museum, 33541 Maryland Line Rd., Massey, MD 21650.
