Wilbur C. Pearson, Jr., 73, passed away surrounded by his loving wife, Kathleen and two adoring daughters on the sunny morning of September 17, 2015. Wilbur was born on November 27, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Wilbur C, and Harriette Cowle Pearson. A longtime resident of the town of Smyrna, Wil moved from Broomall, PA to start his career as a packaging engineer with Playtex in 1965. Transitioning jobs to General Foods in the early 70s, he met his wife of 44 years, Kathleen J. Normoyle. Wil completed his working years at AstraZeneca in Wilmington, DE in 2005. Wil traveled to Europe, mostly Italy and London purchasing packaging equipment and spoke often of his love of travel. Wil is survived by his beautiful wife, Kathleen and daughters, Kim Louise with son-in-law Randy Pesciotta of Toms River, NJ and Cheri Alyse with son-in-law Kevin Boyer of Smyrna, De. Wil is the proud Pop-Pop of Morgan Lyn and Cole Pearson Pesciotta who are both attending Hofstra University, NY. Uncle Wil to his fun-loving brother and sister-in-law John and Jeffrie Normoyle of Middletown, MD and their family, John (Rachel) and Murissa (Kevin Hedges), and Coulby, Caroline, and Cellen. There are many kind-hearted, wonderful friends that are as close to being family chosen to be included in our circle. Dad or Mr. P enjoyed swimming, surfing, diving and snow skiing until the age of 70. Mr. P was the official ice thickness-tester at Lake Como for all skating events. Dad loved motorcycles, Corvettes, fishing and just putzing around. The Celebration of Wilbur's Life will be 12:00 PM Monday, September 21st at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W.
