Obituary

Wallace E. Pressley Jr., 73, of Magnolia, DE, passed away at his home on February 1, 2024.

He was born in Hagerman, New Mexico on July 14, 1950, to the late Wallace and Maola Pressley.

He was a graduate of Radford High School and took classes at Wilmington University to better his career in the U.S. Air Force, where he retired as a Master Sergeant.

He enjoyed PGA shooting competitions and worked at Shooters Choice as a gunsmith. He also loved watching James Bond and John Wayne films as well as old black and white movies. He also greatly enjoyed mowing lawns using his John Deere.

Wallace was one of the funniest people you would ever meet. He was very strong-willed, ambitious, and the most humble man we have ever met. He will be remembered by often saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all" and "Does a bear do it in the woods?"

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Pressley.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah A. Pressley; his children, Robin Pressley, of Dover, Wally Pressley III, of Smyrna, and Annalee Pressley, of Magnolia; grandchildren, Tyler Pressley, Whitney Pressley, Austin Pressley, Christopher Dabney, and Avery Dabney; and siblings, Belinda Pressley, Kenny Pressley, Allen Pressley, and Bill Pressley.

Burial with full military honors will be held 1 PM Wednesday June 12, 2024, at Arlington National Cemetery.
