Veronica (Ronnie) Woerner, of Apollo Beach, FL formerly of Bear, Delaware passed away January 9, 2013. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware on August 24, 1922, to James and Jane Crossan. Veronica was preceded in death by her husband Francis Woerner, and two daughters Deborah Johnson and Ellen Willis. Veronica is survived by her son Francis Woerner and his wife Nancy; her daughter Ann Lopez and her husband John; two sisters Jacqueline Cain and Geraldine Sharrock; a brother, Charles Crossan; grandchildren Dawn Sabbato, Ronald Palmer, Sherry Rameriez, Paul Woerner, Angela Woerner, Tiffany Sullivan, and Michael Willis. Veronica also had 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Veronica attended high school in Wilmington Delaware. She retired from Wilmington Finishing Company. She enjoyed her family and friends, going to the movies, casino and out to dinner. Veronica was a loving mother grandmother sister and friend. She left this world peacefully and left her grace upon so many! Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday January 15 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Committal services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday January 16, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
