Obituary

Thomas H. Sinex Sr., of Dover, passed away at his home on Tuesday February 20, 2024. He was 80.

He was born in Wilmington, DE on August 4, 1943 to the late George and Elizabeth Brittingham Sinex.

Tom earned his GED and later attended college to study Civil Engineering for the miltiary. He retired from the U.S. Army after a long career. He loved motorcycles and restoring old cars and was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris "Dee" Sinex; children, Tommy, Timmy, and Tammy; step-children, Cindy, Karen, and Sue; and many friends.

Services will be held 2PM Sunday March 3 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, with a visitation beginning at 1PM. His friend, Jake Steele, will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be 11AM Tuesday April 2 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.

Memorial donations may be made to either the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, 3033 Wilson Blvd, Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22201; or to the American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters, Attn.: Development Division, 3450 Founders Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268.

Tom will be remembered as often saying "life goes on".
