Thomas Raymond "Tom" Cekine Jr., 69, of Stanton, Delaware, passed away on May 14, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1955, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Tom was the beloved husband of Barbara Belk, a devoted father to Mandy Cekine (Jessica Karpovich) and a loving brother to Cindy Biederman (Gregory). He found great joy in his grandchildren, Blayne Cekine (James Turner) and Dimitri Cekine. He also shared a meaningful bond with his son-in-law, Thomas Bey. His lifelong friend Buck Warner remained a constant presence throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Thomas Cekine Sr., and by his cherished dog Kobe.

He was a loyal Eagles fan, golfer and an avid bowler who also enjoyed time at the beach. He often said "Once you get sand in your soul, you can never get it out".

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W Commerce St., Smyrna, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1757 Horsepond Rd., Dover, Delaware 19901 in honor of Tom's love for animals.
