Terence W. Bishop, 85, of Smyrna, DE, passed on Monday, October 18th, 2021 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

He was born in Watertown, NY on July 29th, 1936, the son of the late William and Jean Bishop.

He was a graduate of Withrow High School, Cincinnati, OH, and the University of Cincinnati.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had been employed as an insurance claims examiner for most of his life.

He had formerly lived in Watertown, N.Y., Cincinnati, OH, Claymont, DE & most recently, in Smyrna, DE.

He enjoyed model trains, square dancing, was a fan of music, and had a love of cats.

He had served as an Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church, and was most recently a member of First Presbyterian Church, Smyrna.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Bishop; a daughter, Gay Lynn Patel, and two sons, Gary Bishop and Geoff Bishop; grandchildren, Justin Patel, Jenny Patel, Elena Bishop, and Cora Bishop; his younger brother, Paul Bishop; cousins Heather Archambault, Jill Marshall, and Janet Marshall; and his beloved cats.

Services will be held 12 PM Saturday November 6 at First Presbyterian Church, 118 W Commerce St., Smyrna, DE, where friends may call at 11 AM. A reception will follow in the church hall. The family respectfully asks those who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 to please wear masks while in the church building.

Burial will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cape May, New Jersey.
