Steven L. Houston, 45, of Smyrna, DE passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at his home in New Castle, DE. He is survived by his father, Fred G. Daniels; daughter, Natasha LaGasse and husband Bret; sons Steven J. and Brendan P. Houston; and fiancée, Angela Brant, with whom he lived with until his death. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; daughter, Serina; and a son Daniel. Steve worked many years as a construction worker using various types of equipment, mainly driving a dump truck. He was also very knowledgeable with laws, accounting, contracting and sales. He was an avid NASCAR fan as well as a football fan rooting for the Miami Dolphins and Ohio State Buckeyes. Steve was a very well known person and touched the lives of many individuals. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know him. Memorial Services will be held 7:00 PM Friday January 27, 2012 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private.
