Sharon Marie Augustine DiGangi, 62, of Dover, DE, formerly of Jeannette, PA and briefly of Wadsworth, OH, passed away peacefully at home with family on Thursday May 27, 2021.

She was born in Jeannette, PA on April 15, 1959 to the late Betty Pearl (Wozny) and the late Chester Walter Augustine.

She was a 1977 graduate of Jeannette Senior High School and had been employed by Westmoreland Glass Company in Grapeville, PA as a glass decorator and in the Hempfield Area School District in Greensburg, PA, as a Personal Care Aid.

Sharon enjoyed taking care of her family and home, spending time with friends, painting, and gardening. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in both Jeannette, PA and Wadsworth, OH.  She believed in the work of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and was a regular doner.

Sharon always found the good in other people and had a kind and giving heart.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph John DiGangi (just celebrated their 40 ^th anniversary); a son, Michael Dennis DiGangi of Dover; a brother Dennis of Greensburg, PA; and a sister Carol (Pierce) of Murrysville, PA; nieces Rachel Pierce of New York City, Alyssa Augustine of Yorba Linda California, and Diana DiGangi of Arlington, VA; nephews Nathan Mori and Fiancée Annie of Mt. Pleasant, PA and Dominic Mori of Greensburg, PA; Sister-in-Law Darla (DiGangi) and husband Greg Mori of Greensburg, PA, Brother-in-Law Anthony DiGangi and wife Lee of Fairfax, VA, and Brother-in-law John Pierce of Murrysville, PA; and her beloved cat and friend Gemini.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Christiana Care Helen Graham Center and Delaware Hospice for their professionalism, care, and love.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:30 AM Monday June 7, 2021 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 PM at St. Polycarp Roman Catholic Church, 55 Ransom Lane, Smyrna DE. Interment will be private.

The family plans to have a memorial mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Jeannette, PA sometime in the near future.  Details to be provided to family and friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Sharon's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
