Obituary

Russell Nolan Bell, 48, of Clayton, DE passed away suddenly on Sunday April 25, 2021.

He was born in Dover on May 30, 1972 to Gayle and John Bell. Russell attended Clayton Elementary, Smyrna Middle School, and graduated from Smyrna High School in 1990. While in school, he was a member of the wrestling team.

He had many hobbies: fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and fixing cars. He had many friends who loved him and he cherished them dearly. He was a huge Steelers and Tony Stewart fan.

He is survived by his mother, Gayle Bartlett; his uncle, Larry Cook Sr.; his former step-father, Wilson Bartlett; two cousins, Larry Cook Jr. and Gary Cook; and Rick and Brian Parton who he considered his adoptive sons and cared for very much; and his dogs Maxwell and Lulu.

Services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday May 13 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna. Please follow Covid-19 guidelines for masks and distancing.
