Rachael Poore, age 27, left this life on June 11, 2019. She was 27 years old and just a few weeks shy of turning 28. Rachael resided in Dover at her father's home at the time of her death.

Rachael was born on July 5, 1991, in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of Brandon and Karen Poore. Rachael attend the Smyrna School District and Polytech High School. Rachael's greatest love was animals, especially dogs and cats. She would have rescued every dog and cat she possibly could -- and did so many times over the years. Rachael had many beloved pets throughout her short lifetime. Her most recent pets have been her four dogs (Reese, Scarlett, Gizzy and Louie) and two cats (Blueberry and Luna). In addition to animals, Rachael had a love for the beach, flowers, reading, and anything related to Halloween.

Rachael is survived her mother Karen, father Brandon, brother Brandon G. Poore, grandmother Allene Poore, uncle Donnie Poore Jr., aunt Debbie Poore, cousin Josh Poore along with a large extended family and many childhood friends. She is also survived by numerous pets at each of her parent's homes.

Rachael's wish to be cremated has been honored so there will be no place of interment.

There will be a private celebration of life for Rachael on Tuesday, June 25 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Smyrna, Delaware. Rachael's family and close friends may reach out to express a desire to attend. Please contact the family (bkpoore14@gmail.com) for more details about the service.

In lieu of flowers her family asks that a donation in memory of Rachael be made to the Humane Society of Kent County, (https://kenthumane.org/). Years ago, Rachael convinced her father to adopt a dog from the Humane Society of Kent County, and in 2018 she adopted Gizzy and Louie from the organization.
