Peter (Pete) Joseph Clark IV, age 74, of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away October 14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey by his loving parents, the late Joseph and Helen Owens Clark. Pete is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane (Alexander) Clark; his daughters Daphne Hahn, Shawn Clark, and Susan (Clark) Hartnett and her husband George, all of Smyrna. Pete had three grandchildren, Kenneth Hahn, of Hawaii; Brittney Richards, of Felton; and Brianna Hartnett, of Smyrna. He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle (Clark) Richards, of Camden-Wyoming, DE. Pete also had an extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Ray Ann Alexander, of Clayton; Brandi Fern, of Fort Myers, FL; Elizabeth Kelly, of Jacksonville, FL; James and Thelma Alexander, of Kenton; Margaret Alexander, of Smyrna; Lee Alexander, of Felton; Laura and Melvin Hindt, of Clayton; and Kenneth Greigg, of Millsboro; many nieces and nephews, and an extended family of friends. Pete was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. He enjoyed getting together with his many friends, riding his Harley and camping with his family and his dog Katie. Pete worked as a heavy collision technician and is known for restoring and building classic cars, trucks, and street rods. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday October 21 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Interment will be private.
