Peggy "Peg" Burton, 66, of Smyrna, Delaware passed away on December 23, 2023 in Dover, Delaware.

She was born March 12, 1957 in in Canton Mississippi to the late Sylvia Burton and Jonny Lee Johnson. Peg graduated high school and then worked in a hospital in the Mother/Baby department. She lived in Mississippi, Georgia, New York, and most recently in Delaware.

She was very sweet with a big heart, and very strong! Peg loved to watch TV, shoot pool, and read. Her favorite movie was "How Stella Got her Groove Back" and she love the TV show Golden Girls.

She is survived by a daughter, Shauntang Carson; two sons, Leon Burton and Ronald Burton; four sisters, Jeene, Tawanna, Janice, and Cathy; a brother, Byron; a host of nieces and nephews; her grandchildren, Delisha, Emanuel, Lemanual, Denisha, Ebony, Shabon, Nakosha, Shataisha, Leonni, Adon, Lani, Laila, Jaylin, Tayanna, Shaq, and Aaliyah; and a host of great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 20, 2024. The Location and time will be announced soon.
