Okley "Oak" H. Ingram, Jr., of Smyrna, passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018 at his home. He was 61.
He was born in Eclectic, AL on July 21, 1956 to Annie Pearl Ingram (Peoples) and the late Okley H. Ingram Sr.
He was raised in Elkton MD, but he has lived in Smyrna for the last 33 years.
He had worked in construction trades, as well as a DJ and mobile audio recording.
He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his animals. He was also a 30-year member of Narcotics Anonymous and was proud to have helped so many find a better way to live. Oak possessed a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He was patient, loving and kind. His favorite quote was to say "Stay Teachable".
He is survived by his wife, Leslie A. Ingram; and his five fur babies including his constant companion "Diesel".
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jill Ennis, his day-to-day caregiver, Seasons Hospice, and his brothers and sisters in Narcotics Anonymous.
Memorial services will be held 7 PM Saturday June 9 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, DE, where the family will receive friends at 6 PM. Pastor B. Tribbitt will officiate. Friends are invited to the family home after the services.
Interment will be private.
