Nancy Edith Liehr, of Smyrna, DE, formerly of Southampton, NY, and Pennsville, NJ, died Friday March 31, 2023 in Los Angeles, CA. She was 91.

She was born March 16, 1932 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late Raymond E. Taylor and Ella Baldwin Taylor Vaughan-Catt. She was a 1949 graduate of Bloomfield (NJ) High School and a 1953 graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA.

She was an Elementary teacher for many years teaching 3rd grade at Clayton Elementary School from 1968 – 1986, 5th Grade at Hampton Bays, NY from 1954 - 1960, and taught Pre-K & Kindergarten at Loving Care Nursery School twice during her career.

Nancy loved needlepoint, crochet, knitting, travel (Europe, Australia, Trinidad/ Tobago, Prince Edward Island) and had a special love for the Outer Banks & Blue Ridge Parkway. She was a member of Asbury UMC since 1963.

She is survived by sons, Paul Liehr of LA, and James Liehr of Ephrata, PA; and a grandson, Daniel Liehr of Akron, PA.

Services will be held 12:30 PM Friday April 14 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Asbury U.M.C. 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
