Michael Leonard "Mikey" Howard Jr., passed away on Sunday July 16, 2023. He was 39.

He was born March 3, 1984, in Havre de Grace, MD.

Mikey grew up in Villagebrook in Middletown, DE, and also in Elkton, MD and had attended Silver Lake Elementary and Redding Middle School in Middletown, DE and Bohemia Manor H.S., Chesapeake City, MD. While in school, he played soccer and baseball and later in life, loved playing with his niece and nephew, Piper and Brodie. He loved spooking the kids, but being that he was still a big kid, he loved bonfires and watching movies with them. His greatest achievement was his two daughters.

He is survived by his daughters, Madison and Allison; his mother, Laura D. Bartlett and stepdad, Jesse Smith; his siblings, Deana and Erik; his special niece, Piper; special nephews Brodie and Kane; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Howard Sr.; and a sister, Korie Howard.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held from 6-9 PM Thursday August 3 at the American Legion Cecil Post 15, 129 W. Main St, Elkton, MD.

After the loss of a friend, Mikey was fond of saying "I'll see you when I get there".
