Mary Rose Smith, age 82, of Russellville, TN, and formerly of Blackbird, DE passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 in TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John A. Smith. Both were former residents of Delaware. Mary was an accountant and wrote a recipe column for Farmshine Agriculture Newspaper. She and husband, Smitty, lived on a farm in Delaware, where they raised goats. Survived by her son, Tim O'Brien and wife, Sherry of Whitesburg, TN; step-daughter, Carolyn Milano and husband, Lenny of PA; grandson, Shawn O'Brien and wife, Le; great-granddaughter, Keira; step-grandchildren, Michelle and husband, Kevin, Paul and wife, Erin; and step-great-grandchildren, Kyle and Shelby. The family will receive friends Sunday May 5 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Committal services will be held 2:00 PM Monday May 6 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
