Mary Etta Lasana-Faries, of Smyrna, passed away on Saturday April 11, 2015 at her home. She was 86. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. Mary was an excellent cook. She especially enjoyed creating large meals during the holidays. She also enjoyed traveling to historic sites. Her favorite places were Williamsburg VA and attending shows in Tenn. She also enjoyed going out to restaurants. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gilbert and Gertrude (Ford) Stewart; her first husband, Clifford Lasana in 2001; and ten siblings. She is survived by her husband of ten years, William Faries Jr.; her children, Janet Lasana; and Clinton (Melody) Lasana; Grandchildren and Great grand-children, Cliff (Andrea) Lasana, and daughter Lucy; Ali (TJ) Dziedzinski, and daughter Emma; Lloyd Massey and daughters Alyvia and Lily; and Mari (Blaine Hulsey) Massey; Step Children and grandchildren, Dora Radke and daughter Jesse (Billy) Graham and children Alex Thayer and Olivia Thayer; William Faries III and daughter Tiffany; and Warner (Joyce) Faries, and daughters Christine, Jenna and Brittney; her siblings, Edith Sparks; Charles (Peggy) Stewart; Bobby Stewart; Pat McKinney; Judy Collins; Thelma Stanton; Linda (Joe) Shelton; and Larry Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday April 15 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
