Mary A. Carr, of Smyrna, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Friday September 8, 2017 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. She was 85.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 26, 1932 to the late Charles Devlin and Anna Crane Devlin.

She was a graduate of the James Martin School of Nursing and was employed as an LPN at Nazareth Hospital for 18 years in Philadelphia. She will be remembered for her favorite saying, "Ya dopey looking thing!!!"

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Carr; and her siblings, Joan Tomlinson and Joseph Devlin.

She is survived by her children, Maryann (Joseph) O'Connor; Linda Carr; Joan Carr; Donna (Kevin) Keane; Frances Carr; Charlene (Charles) Cianci; Grandchildren, Colleen Boucher, Joey O'Connor, Jennifer Weres, Joseph Rickus, Kelly Keane, Kira Keane, Katie Keane, Shannon Smith, Lauren Smith, Sean Smith, Michaela Carr, Jordan Cianci; 8 Great-grandchildren; and her dog, Sage.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 AM Friday September 15 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE, where a visitation will be held beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will be 1:30 PM Friday in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
