Margaret Elizabeth Barker, of Clayton, DE, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday April 4, 2026. She was 83.

She was born in Landover, MD on September 19, 1942, to the late Dorsey and Josephine Maguire.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, was a participant in Senior Olympics for bowling, and was a member of the Washington, D.C. area Women's Bowling Association. She was a longtime member of Maryland City Baptist Church and a member of the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Center. Margaret will be remembered for often saying "For Petey's Sake!"

She is survived by a son, Calvin Barker Jr. (wife Kelly); a granddaughter, Nicole Herr (husband Travas) and great-granddaughters Zoey and Isla; a grandson, Zachary Barker; her siblings, Millie Bartlett (her twin sister), Bonnie Fite, Eddie Maguire (wife Linda), Bobby Maguire (wife Karen), Ronnie Maguire, and Johnny Maguire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin H. Barker Sr., her brothers, Tommy Maguire, Dorsey Maguire, Benny Maguire, and a sister, Jenny Staley.

Graveside services and interment will be held 12 pm Friday April 10 at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD.
