Marcus Anthony Solloway Sunrise: February 10, 1985 Sunset: October 3, 2015 Marcus A. Solloway was born February 10, 1985 to Jack Solloway and Lynn Harrison. He was the eldest son of 3 children from his mother and only son of his father. Our Lord and Savior called Marcus home on October 3, 2015. Marcus attended Smyrna Elementary, Middle, and High School. He also attended Newark High School where he enjoyed being part of the track team. He won the state championship in the high jump. He graduated from Newark High School in 2003. Marcus served in the U.S. Air Force from 2006-2009. He was part of the Judge Advocate General's Corps in the Air Force, in which he did a tour in Kuwait. Marcus most recently enrolled in college for Internet Security. Marcus is survived by his parents, Soynal "Lynn" Harrison and Jack Solloway; step-parents Debbie Solloway and Ronald Settle; his sister Ashley L. Harrison and brother Logan A. Settle; his grandparents Soynal I. Canady and the late Virgil Harrison, Jack Solloway Sr. and Midge Ryan, John Canady Jr., Adam and Patty Carrow, Jerry Lindell, and Jerry Hinton; his uncles, Jason Solloway, Virgil A. Harrison Jr., Karl S. Harrison, and Yuhanna El; his aunt Shontina Canady; and a host of cousins and friends. A viewing will be held 6-8 PM Thursday October 15 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Burial with military honors will be 1:00 PM Friday October 16 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.
