Lola Chavarria, of Smyrna, passed away on Sunday May 26, 2019. She was 92.

She was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, and moved to Brooklyn NY in the 1950's. She had been employed as a factory worker for about five years before moving back to Puerto Rico. She returned back to Brooklyn in 1978, and moved to Delaware in 1989.

She took great pride in caring for and raising her children. She also was known for looking after and caring for her neighbors. She is remembered by her children as the best mother in the world.

She is survived by a son, Jose Aristides Rodriguez, of Bronx, New York; a daughter, Isabel Rodriguez, of Matawan, NJ; and grandchildren, Osvaldo Rodriguez, Johan Rodriguez, Jomarra Rodriguez, Joceline Rodriguez, Jaysi Rodriguez, Jose Ramon Rodriguez Jr, and Jose Roberto Rodriguez.

A private viewing will be held at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
