Obituary

Linda Kay Montuori, 71, recently of Milford, DE, passed away on Saturday November 11th 2023, at Polaris Rehabilitation, Milford.

She was born March 23, 1952, in South Brunswick, NJ, the daughter of the late Peter Yuras Sr. and Julia Yuras and grew up with two sisters and three brothers. Linda moved with her late husband (he passed away in 2001) to Seaford DE and then moved in with her sister Darlene Sanphy in Clayton for ten years. For the past two years, she lived in Milford with her daughter and grandson.

Mom was always dedicated to her work. Employed since she was 14, Linda spent 20 years in banking and her last job was as a manager at EZ cash.

Linda's biggest joy was her family - always caring for her nieces, nephews and grandson. She enjoyed crafting and especially cooking - she was an amazing cook.

Linda was a devout parishioner of St. Polycarp Church and was inducted into the Columbiettes, where she served the church and her community even when she was injured and in a wheelchair.

My mom was the most selfless beautiful woman. When she had nothing, she made sure everyone else was taken care of and added so much love to everyone's life. My mom adored her family, her nieces and nephews and her one and only grandson. Linda kept peace at the sake of her own happiness, sacrificed everything when she became a single widowed mother unexpectedly and she was a true hero and one of a kind human being.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Montuori; brothers, Stephen "Sonny" Yuras, Peter Yuras Jr., and Walter Yuras; and a nephew, Frankie Wiley.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Montuori; sisters, Darlene Sanphy and spouse Peter; Dorothy Wiley (spouse Frank Wiley – deceased), her grandson, Stefan Montuori; nieces, Deanna Lail and spouse Dana Lail and their child Alex Laila; Angela Gibson and her children Rebecca Gibson, Gabriella Gibson, and Kensley Gibson; Cathy Faucher; Cindy Trivisinno; Tammy Koller; Pam Yuras; and Donna Brasko; and nephews, Paul Yuras; Robert Wiley; Thomas Yuras; and Walter Yuras Jr.
