Linda L. Garber, 80, of Dover, DE (formerly of Smyrna and Clayton, DE), passed away at Dover Place on April 5, 2021.

She was born in in Ridgely, MD on June 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Henry Lucas and Marie Cruser Lucas.

Linda was raised in Greensboro, MD and graduated from Greensboro School in 1958. She was also a 1961 graduate of the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing.

She had been employed as a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years with the Delaware State Board of Health, and later served as a family planning practitioner. She started nursing as a public health nurse.

She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna, and enjoyed travel, church activities, doing charitable and volunteer work, and her bowling league.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Garber and Carl Clough.

She is survived by a son, Roger Tieman; two stepsons, Rick Garber and Raymond Garber; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rita Summers.

Services will be held 12 PM Monday April 12 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 11 AM. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.
