Lawrence T. Trial, 88, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on January 6, 2025.

He was born in Astoria, Long Island, NY on January 12, 1936, to the late Lawrence Timothy Trial and Loretta Trial (nee Croteau).

He earned an associate degree from Cornell University and was employed as a purchasing agent in the trucking industry for Gilbert Carriers for many years prior to his retirement. Mr. Trial was a proud Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Trial; three children, Donna and spouse Gus, Larry and spouse Mary, and Phil and spouse Brenda; and by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 1-3:00 PM Sunday January 12 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Interment will be private.
