Dover - Larry M. Kelley, 58, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. His brief battle with brain cancer did not diminish his love for life, going to the beach and listening to gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stacy Erskine, Rev. Mabel V, Erskine, Russell and Evelyn Kelley, and his parents, Thomas and Verma Doris Kelley. He is survived by his siblings Tom, Darlene, Lisa, Jimmy, Norma, Tammie, Sandy and Dennie. Special friends, whom he considered to be part of his family included Jeanie Knotts, Myrtle Stapleford, Sharon Walker, and Liz Holland. Throughout his life and during his career as a hair stylist, Larry never met a stranger. His friends and acquaintances were especially dear to him. He will also be missed by his constant pet companions, Buddy, Lily, George and Gypsy.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 West Commerce Street, Smyrna, DE. In accordance with his wishes, graveside services will be private.
