Obituary

Kenneth Martin Miles, 77, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Chester, PA, Aston, PA, Sicklerville, NJ, and Smyrna, DE, passed away on October 31, 2023, at Wilmington Hospital.

He was born in Chester, PA on February 14, 1946, to the late Richard and Catherine Miles and was a graduate of Chester High School and the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.

He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and had been employed by Collingdale Millwork and Camden Millwork as a Draftsman and Journeyman Carpenter.

Kenneth enjoyed watching Eagles football, loved architecture and the water, and created and sold puzzles, toys, cabinets, bookcases, and entertainment centers with wood, vinyl and other materials. He was a proud member of the New Jersey Carpenter Union.

Kenneth was known to be a practical jokester and he also loved to listen to Country music. He greatly enjoyed creating puzzles and toys that he sold at craft fairs.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Huffman (Thomas, deceased), Kristen Seitz and son-in-law Jeffrey Scallan; grandchildren, Hunter, Sydney, and London Huffman; Hailey and Charles John (CJ) Seitz, Jr.; and Finnegan and McKenna Scallan; great-grandchildren, Dexter Hagen, and Thomas and Kenneth Huffman; his siblings, Jerry Hart, Shirley Pappas, James Miles, Juanita Marvel, and Frank Miles; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Nichole Scallan; and siblings Robert Miles and Richard Miles.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday November 18, 2023 at D'Anjolell-Stigale Funeral Home, 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014 with a visitation from 12:30-1:30 PM. A Luncheon will follow at Lia's Catering 4300 Naamans Creek Road, Marcus Hook, PA 19061 from 2-5:30 PM. Kenneth's remains will be scattered in a private event at a later date.
