Kathryn Anne (Miles) Bruno, RN, of Smyrna, passed away on December 5, 2017. She was 59.

She was born in Chester, PA on October 14, 1958 and grew up in Delaware County where she attended school in Ridley Township. Her first job was as an aide in a nursing home. She travelled the world as a young Air Force wife, living in Okinawa, Arizona, England, and New Mexico where she attended college and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked in several nursing homes and hospitals until her health failed.

Kathy loved Facebook, trips to the shore, karaoke, Bruce Springsteen, and the Phila. Eagles.

She was preceded in death by a son William Bruno; her father, Robert Miles; and her grandparents.

She is survived by her son Austin Bruno; mother and step-father, Patricia and David Womelsdorf; siblings, Tammy Devall, Robert and Eric Miles; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday December 12 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to either the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way # 205, New Castle, DE 19720; or St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
