Joseph M. Worthington, of Clayton, DE, passed away at his residence on August 1, 2019. He was 62.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 23, 1956. He had lived in Philadelphia, PA; Sicklerville, NJ; Middletown, DE; and most recently, Clayton, DE.

He is survived by his wife, Trisha Hafer-Worthington; siblings, Ann "Nan" Rieker, William "Bill" Rieker, and Lois Sterling; siblings in-law, Linda Rieker, Ednamay "Missy" Moser, Robert Hafer Jr., Annmarie "Bunny" & Edward Hofmann; step mother-in-law, Mary Hafer; 24 nieces and 17 nephews, 22 great-nieces and 17 great-nephews; and his cat, Soot.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Rachel E. Worthington; his parents, Anne Cooney and Joseph F. Worthington; his siblings, Florence "Bun" Bermender, Patricia and Bob Sands; and his parents-in-law, Ednamay E. Olszewski and Robert J. Hafer Sr.

A Mass will be held 11 AM Thursday August 8 at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Parish, 233 Mohawk Ave, Norwood PA, where a visitation will be held at 10 AM.
