Joseph Reid Brobst, of Clayton, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2024, at Bayhealth Kent Medical Center, Dover, DE. He was 45.

He was born in Dover, DE on June 24, 1978. Joe grew up in Smyrna, DE and attended Smyrna High School and served in the US Navy. He has lived all over the country at different times. He later returned back to Smyrna/Clayton to settle back into his hometown. Once he left the Navy, he mostly worked in the construction business with his brother, Gary Brobst.

He loved wrestling, snowboarding, hanging out with friends, riding his Slingshot with the guys, boating and jet-skiing. Joe loved people in general and was always ready to help someone when he could. He really loved being the life of whatever party he was at. One thing he really enjoyed was dressing up as Santa and giving out toys to kids every Christmas with the Slingshot crew.

He is preceded in death by his mother Karen L. Bachman.

He is survived his son, Kodie Kreimann, daughter Krystalynne (Thomas) Brainard, his son Austin (Victoria) Brobst, son, Gavin (Sarah) Brobst, son, Tyler Brobst, 6 grandchildren; his father Gary Brobst Sr., his Pop, John Bachman, his siblings, Kenneth Bachman, Gary Brobst Jr., Jill Brobst, Sean Brobst, and his Dog Remi.

A visitation will be held 2-4:00 PM Tuesday June 4 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 West Commerce St., Smyrna, DE. Interment will be privately held at a later date.
