John A. Berghorn Jr., age 55, passed away on June 6, 2015 in Tennessee. John was born to John A. Berghorn and Ruth Bartlett Berghorn in Dover, Delaware on April 24, 1960. While not serving during a war, John proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for over thirty years and greatly enjoyed being on the road. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. John enjoyed watching horse races and NASCAR. His favorite author was Louis L'Amour and he loved westerns. John enjoyed sitting outside and listening to nature. John was an amazing man with a big heart and would do anything for anyone who needed it. He never met a stranger; he had the ability to talk with a stranger just like they had been long lost friends. Every relationship John had he made it special and unique; even his children's friends would call him "Dad." Whenever anyone would ask John how his day was, he would just reply, "Every day is a holiday." John had four grandchildren that he was very proud of and being a "PopPop" meant the world to him. John is survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Cynthia Berghorn of Linwood, Pennsylvania; daughters Amber Kauffman of Reading, Pennsylvania and Doralee Berghorn of Linwood, Pennsylvania; son Timothy Fabuien of Vernon, Connecticut; daughter-in-law Melissa Fabuien of Vernon, Connecticut; son-in-law Brad Kauffman of Reading, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Justin, Timmy, Nick, and Maddy; and siblings Judith Franklin, Eirline Berghorn, Paul Berghorn, and Daniel Wiley. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Gibbs. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday June 20 at Faith Baptist Church, 1575 Bryn Zion Rd. (corner of Bryn Zion Rd. and Rt. 300), near Smyrna.
