Joanna (Naulty) Dyer-Boyce (Jan) was born in Philadelphia, PA Oct. 3rd, 1946 to Albert and Jean Naulty. She grew up in Springfield, Delaware County, PA and graduated from Springfield High School in 1964. She is survived by her loving husband Page Boyce of Smyrna, DE; four loving children, Karen Laughhunn of Grand Rapids, MI, Robert Dyer of Lancaster, PA, Steven Dyer of Chicago, IL, and Jeffrey Dyer of Spring City, PA; three loving siblings: Mark Naulty of West Richland, WA, Mary Ellen Kull of Springfield, PA, and Kathy DeRuschi of West Chester, PA; and ten grandchildren (loving beyond any degree). She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Jean Naulty, her step-mother Mary Lou Naulty and her brother Steven Naulty. Jan loved animals. At an early age, she learned to ride horseback and has loved horses ever since. Cats have populated her life, as well. Her daughter, sons, and grandchildren are her source of pride. Joanna received her Diploma in Nursing from Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1967, attaining licensure in 1968. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, with Medical/Surgical emphasis in 1974, and earned a M.A. in Counseling from Eastern College in 1995. In 1974-75, she instructed in Medical/Surgical Nursing at Mt. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Throughout her career, she worked in various roles within Health Care at The Malvern Institute, Paoli Memorial Hospital, Lankenau Hospital, Magellan Behavioral Health Services, and most recently Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, DE. Her fight against cancer ended Sept. 10th, 2014, and she went to receive great eternal reward in Jesus Christ. Her family misses her and looks forward to glad and complete reunion to come. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday September 15 at First Presbyterian Church, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Committal Services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd, Drexel Hill, PA.
