Obituary

Joann Mary Harms, of Clayton, died April 11, 2017 at Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 78.

She was born in Yatesville, PA on December 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Marchilene and Jennie Naples. She had lived in California and Delaware for many years.

She was employed by Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) for over 30 years.

She enjoyed listening to Elvis and country music, and loved traveling with her husband Jack (but not flying).

She was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Smyrna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Charles Harms.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Ann Harms, of Newark, DE; a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Scanlon, of Kettering, OH; and a brother, John Naples and wife Kim, of Marshallton, DE.

Services and interment will be held 1:00 PM Thursday May 25 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.
