Obituary

Jean Louise Nober Delaney, 88 years old of Dover, Delaware transitioned to eternal life on September 12, 2022 of natural causes.  Born August 18, 1934 in Bergenfield, NJ to George and Helen Nober.  Along with her sisters Matilda Cain (deceased) and Dora (Bob) Nelson they grew up in Bergenfield, NJ

In 1955 she married Michael Joseph Delaney who was the love of her life.  They resided in Bergenfield, NJ, Sidney, NY, Greene, NY, Sarasota, FL and Dover, DE over their 67 years of marriage.

Jean loved playing cards, Bingo, gardening, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, collecting shells and making crafts with them, scratch off lottery tickets, spending time at Ludlow Lake, Equinunk, but most of all spending time with her family. Mike and Jean had very recently relocated from Florida to Delaware.  During this short time they spent time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren which was her dream come true.

Jean was a really devoted Catholic and felt her deep beliefs gave her peace in life.  At different points in life, she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Delaney, Sister, Dora (Bob) Nelson, mother to five children: Kathleen (Roger) Willes, Jean Marie Delaney, Michael L Delaney (Ellen Doyle), Doreen (Charles) Rowe, MaryAnn Jarolmen, Grandmother to eight Grandchildren:, Georgianna (Joseph) Sanges, MaryLou (Michael) Stanton, Amy Rowe (Ron Terebo), Shawna (Matt) Mock, Daniel Haskell, Kristy Haskell, Lindsey Jarolmen, Summer Jarolmen,  Great Grandmother to Six Great Grandchildren: Khloe Terebo, Bayne Terebo, Madelynn Sanges, Elizabeth Sanges, Maxwell Mock, Theodore Mock.

The family will receive visitors at the Immaculate Conception Church, 1180 State Highway 206, Greene, NY 13778 from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 24th with a mass at 11:00 am.  Cemetery interment will be held immediately following mass at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon back at the Church. The family requests that donations be made to the Immaculate Conception Church in lieu of flowers.
