Obituary

Janna Diane Jamison passed away on July 23, 2022 at her home in Newark, DE at the age of 52.  She was born May 3, 1970 in Wilmington, DE to Jerone and Sandra (Evans) Jamison.  She graduated from Newark High School in 1988 and earned her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from DelTech.

Janna was an amazing softball pitcher and played for both Newark and DelTech along with several travel teams.  She is enshrined in the Softball Hall of Fame in York, PA for being the youngest player ever to pitch a national tournament at the age of 11 and the only pitcher ever to pitch three shutouts in a national tournament.

After graduation, Janna became a Customer Service Representative for Comcast for several years until retiring due to complications from Systemic Lupus.  Her greatest joy, however, was spending the later part of her life as Jaeda's mom. She also enjoyed being the "Fun Aunt" to Bryan and Bayli as well as their and Jaeda's friends.

Janna had the ability to bring fun and mischief to anything going on and will be missed by her daughter, Jaeda Whitney Jamison, father Jerry Jamison, sister Jodi Blomquist, brother-in-law Bryan Blomquist, nephew Bryan Blomquist Jr., and niece Bayli Blomquist.  She was predeceased by her mother, Sandy Jamison.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 13 th , at 11 am at Christiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 15 N. Old Baltimore Pike Newark DE (in Old Christiana).
