Jan "Cookie" Newlin

September 2nd, 1956 - December 7th, 2022

Jan Newlin passed away at 66 years old peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 7th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jan was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on September 2nd, 1956 to the late Ruth and David Schneider and father Pedro Arriaga Rios. She is proceeded by her son Robert Steele 3rd.

She is survied by her husband Mark Newlin, her daughter Tammy Snead (Mike), sister Anna Tepfenhart, and brothers David Rios and Jr Rios.

She treasured her four grandchildren, Celina and Brandon Steele, Michael and Emily Snead, and her great grandson Braylen Walden.

Jan loved spending her time with her family and her animals. Her playful and fun-loving personality brought smiles to all every day. She made friends everywhere she went. Her heart was always with any animal she came across. She loved spending her time feeding the wildlife, especially the squirrels.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA in her honor.
