James Douglas Haas, 86, of Smyrna DE, passed away on Saturday May 13, 2023 at Bayhealth Kent Campus, Dover, DE.

He was born in Wilmington, DE on February 24, 1937, to the late Charles and Ruth Haas.

Jim was a 1959 graduate of Smyrna High School and retired from the Delaware Department of Transportation as a Highway Planner.

He was a past board president of the Delaware State Employee's Federal Credit Union, now known as Del-One Federal Credit Union, and had been a member of the Smyrna Jaycees.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Donald (Linda) Blow; and a nephew, Donald Blow, Jr.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy B. Haas, and his dog Cinder.

Burial will be privately held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
