Jacob M. Bell (Jake) , 83, of Smyrna, Delaware went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, August 9, 2016 surrounded by his family.  Born October 14, 1932 in Somerset, Maryland, he was the son of the late Jacob M. Bell and Manie A. (Marshall) Bell.  Jake was an employee of the United States Department of Agriculture for 44 years before retiring in January 2001.

Jake is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years Bessie (Williams) Bell and five children:  Teresa McLeod (Duane), Jacob Bell III (Jan), Mark Bell (MaryAnn), Kimberly Andress (Mark) and Karen Seger (Royce).

Jake had an intense love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Second to that was his love for his family.  He was a devoted husband, father and "Pop Pop", always putting others before himself.   He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, 26 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 4210 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.
