Grace W. Henry, 85, of Smyrna, DE departed this life at her home on Friday, May 14, 2021.

She was born in Smyrna on April 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Williams.

She was a graduate of William Henry High School and had retired from Hanover Foods (formerly Wheatleys).

She enjoyed attending sporting events to see her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. She also enjoyed sewing and making clothes, listening to Gladys Knight and the Pips, and spending time with family.

She was a member of Bethel AME Church in Smyrna before joining Mt. Friendship Church, Smyrna.

She leaves fond memories of her life with her children Roger (Smyrna), Duncan (Hawaii), Dwayne (Smyrna), Joyce (Smyrna), Diana (Dover), Don (Washington DC), and Daniel (Smyrna); grandchildren, Dereka Tippens, Frank Henry IV, Edward Henry, Derek Henry Jr., Charles Ford, Daniel Henry Jr, Darnell Ford, Tacara Ford, Dwayne Henry Jr., Grant Henry, and Zaria Henry; great-grandchildren Derek Henry III, Kylla Henry, Frank Henry V, Tanai Tippens, Malachi Ford, Vanessa Ford, Aysajah Henry, Terron Tippens Jr., Alexis Ford, Aleijah Ford, Glenda Ford, Jeweliana Henry, Austin Henry and Owen Henry and daughters-in law, Darlene Chandler, Kimberly Henry and Deborah Henry, and many other relatives.

She was predeceased by her children, Derek Henry, Frank Henry, Glenda Ford, David Henry; and her siblings, Charles Williams, Calvin May, Paul Williams, Louise Taylor, Rebecca Doughty, Roberta Ridgeway, Dorothy Calhoun, Ida Pierce, Harvey Williams, Gladys Huling.

Homegoing services will be Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 7 PM at Matthews Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where a viewing will be held from 6-7 PM. Pastor Michael Morgan will perform the eulogy and Reverend Sharon Morgan will officiate.

Interment will be private.
