George Anthony, age 84, of Smyrna, DE, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 6, 2012. He was born on March 6, 1928 in Hawthorn, PA. George is survived by his wife Rose Marie; children Janis, Michele, Cathleen and George, Jr.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a life-long resident of New Jersey, having resided in Iselin and Chester, before retiring to the Delaware shore. He was a former employee of Anheuser-Busch. He loved the challenges of building radio controlled airplanes and the thrill of successful take-offs and landings! He was active in the AMA Model Aircraft Org. and the Delaware RC Club. George enjoyed spending time with his family and pets, gardening, bird watching, fishing and boating at the Delaware shore. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
