Fred G. Daniels, Jr., 83, passed away on January 27, 2015 in Smyrna, Delaware. Fred was born in Troy, Ohio on October 3, 1931. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Army as a tank commander. Afterwards, he worked at O.A. Smith in Tipp City, Ohio and a photo equipment manufacturing company in Troy, Ohio. After retirement he moved to live with his son Steven in Delaware. He was preceded in death by parents Fred G. Daniels, Sr. and Elizabeth A. Grunert Daniels; son Steven Houston; sister Barbara J. Smith; brothers Thomas L. Daniels and Robert E. Daniels. He is survived by brothers William L. Daniels and James R. Daniels; daughters Tana Poston and Teresa Andries; son Randy Smith; and granddaughter Natasha LaGasse and her husband Bret, whom he lived with prior to his death; as well as several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was a NASCAR fan and his prize possession was a 1985 Ford Thunderbird like the one driven by his idol Bill Elliot. His remains will be returned to be buried in Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Ohio.
