Frances Sarah Benson (Aunt Franny, Aunt Fran, Aunt Banny), of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Linwood, PA, passed away on November 22, 2020 in Wilmington. She was 91.

She was born in Ridley Park, PA on June 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Wesley Harden and Emma Johnson.

She was a homemaker most of her adult life, and had worked as a sales clerk at Alston's Hallmark store at the Granite Run Mall. She was married to her late husband, John S. Benson (03/04/1919 - 12/19/1996), on November 26, 1949 in Woodlyn, PA.

She enjoyed soap operas, game shows, and word search puzzle books. She loved to dance, and her favorite song was Old Time Rock'N Roll by Bob Seger. Some of her favorite sayings were "Every party has a pooper that's why we invited you, Party Pooper" and "A place for everything and everything in its place."

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Ida Kunstek, Wesley Harden, and Alice Linden.

She is survived by numerous nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews; great-great nieces & nephews; two great-great-great nieces and one great-great-great nephew.

The family wishes to offer a special thank you to her friends Pat, Stella, Megan, and Dianna; and the staff of Seasons Hospice.

Graveside services and interment will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday December 1 at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, PA.
