Erick Shawn Dunfee, age 42, of Clayton, Delaware passed away suddenly on May 3, 2021.

Erick was born in Wilmington, Delaware and grew up in Clayton, Delaware. He graduated from Smyrna High School. Erick worked hard as a roofer and was well known as the cook that juggled many eggs in the air to entertain at many Waffle House Restaurants. Erick was always there to help anyone in need - even in his death through the Gift of Life he was able to help two other people in life.

Erick is survived by his mother, Gail Dunfee Wilson; stepfather, Robert Wilson; brother, Samuel Haynes; sisters, Tabatha Gainey, Carmen Hopkins, and Doris Earnshaw; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

Erick was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Dunfee Jr.

A visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. on Saturday May 22, 2021 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 West Commerce Street, Smyrna DE 19977.
