Eric Wallace Miles, of Smyrna, passed away on Monday March 27, 2023, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 60.

He was born February 15, 1963, in Chester, PA. He spent many years as a truck driver. Early on, he drove a beer delivery truck and cross-country moving trucks. His last employment was in Washington D.C. as a chauffeur for high-ranking military officers and congressmen. He also took Wounded Warriors to special functions at Arlington National Cemetery or wherever needed. This was the job he loved and was most proud of. Eric was also a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Miles; and a sister, Kathy Bruno.

He is survived by two sons, Eric Shane Miles and wife Crystal, and Preston Miles; his mother and step-father, Patricia and David Womelsdorf; a sister, Tammy Devall; a brother, Robert Miles; and three grandchildren, Devon, Aiden, and Conner.

Memorial services will be held Saturday April 1 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Smyrna. Inurnment services will be announced at a later date.
