Obituary

Edward Milligan, of Clayton, passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2015. He was 78. He was born in Linden, NJ, the son of the late Raymond and Eva Milligan. In his early years, he proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked for BASF Pharmaceuticals, Knoll Pharmaceuticals, and Abbot Labs for 18 years as a licensed boiler engineer. He loved football, especially the New York Giants, and he was also an avid Mets baseball fan. He also loved reading newspapers, TV news, watching sports games (on TV and field games), documentaries, and histories. He also enjoyed talking with family and friends on the phone. He is survived by his wife, Joann and their two sons Edward Milligan Jr. and Kent Milligan, all of DE; his children from his first marriage, Sandra Milligan of NJ; and Cynthia Humenic of GA; and his sons Anthony, Derick, Corey, and Vick; sisters, Ruth Bell of NY, and Rose Weeks, of NJ; a brother, Richard Milligan of NJ; and 17 grandchildren (including his special grandson Kareem Wilks) and 21 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered 12:00 PM Wednesday March 18 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane, Smyrna, where a viewing will be held in the Parish Hall at 11:00 AM.
