Edna Veronica
Baker-Breese
March 25, 1948 – January 28, 2022
Edna Veronica Baker-Breese (EDDY) took her final breath on January 28th, 2022 at approximately 3:15 am at the age of 73 resting peacefully in her home with two daughters by her side in Smyrna, DE.
Edna was born March 25th, 1948 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Frances Beatrice and George Johnson Siple. She Went to St. James Catholic school and continued her education at Chester High School.
Edna spent most of her adult life as a loving mother, grandmother, crazy aunt and caregiver. She was a certified nursing assistant and a renowned Catholic. She loved GOD and the Blessed Mother and teaching the values she was raised with to her entire family, even when we didn't want to hear it! Her faith and prayers always got us through the toughest times! She was a beautiful soul inside and out and loved with her whole heart! There is not a person that has ever met Edna that did not love her and she did not make feel like family! She surely was one of a kind! For many she was a safe haven, shoulder to cry on, someone to vent to or just the anchor you needed to stay grounded! She would never judge anyone for anything they did or any mistake they made! She was very loud and outspoken and never sugar coated anything, she told you exactly how it was whether you wanted to hear it or not! The world has lost one of the greatest women to have lived on this earth and she will be extremely missed by every person she ever came in contact with.
Edna is survived by one brother Francis M. Siple of Essington, Pa , three daughters Mary Smith of Tuscan, Arizona, Jane Baker and (spouse) Mark Faries of Smyrna, DE, Patricia Johnson of Smyrna, 12 grandkids Ashly, Krysten, Jennie (husband) Dave, Frankie, Kyle (wife) Talynn, Jose, Tiara (husband) Nino, Veronica, George and 8 great grandchildren Justine, Jaelynn, Curtis, Jocelyn, Ethan, Natalie, Mason, and Nathan.
