Diane E. Fabi, of Dover, formerly of Clayton, passed away at her home on Saturday Febuary 4, 2012 with her family by her side. She was 72. She was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Schmeusser. Diane was a homemaker and mother to her three sons. She enjoyed fishing, travelling, cooking, baking, and was an avid Phillies and Giants fan. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Allan Fabi. She is survived by three sons, John (Jeannie) Fabi, of Felton; Steve (Danielle) Fabi, of Clayton; and Ron (Rita) Fabi, of Clayton; a special brother and sister-in-law , Marty and Margaret Schmeusser; brothers, Fred (Elaine), Danny (Judy), John (Donna) Schmeusser; sisters, Joyce (Bob) Fritz, and Shirley Schmeusser; six grandchildren, Shannon, Lee, Nicole, Amanda, Mat, and Megan; three great-grandchildren, Anderson, Hunter, and Carter. Services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday February 8 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will be private.
