Obituary

Cora L. Conner, 99, of near Clayton, passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover.

She was born in Rock Hall, MD, the daughter of the late Jarrett T. Price and Mary Ford Price.

She and her husband moved to Delaware in 1955 after retiring from farming. She was employed as a nursing assistant at DHCI, Smyrna, for 22 years, retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Conner was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Clayton Fire Company and had served as President and Vice President. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed camping, line dancing, crafts, and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Earl Conner, and her sisters and brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy E. Coleman, Daisy C. (Andy) Johnson, and Wilma Lee (Stan) Lepkowski; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday April 2 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 9:30 AM. Following the service, a reception will be held from 12-1:30 PM at the Clayton Fire Company, Railroad Ave. and East St., Clayton, DE. Interment will be 2:30 PM at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Rock Hall, MD.
