Carol Lynn Newsom, 79, of Dover, Delaware, passed away on April 29 ^th , 2022 at her home.

She was born in Lubbock, Texas on October 7, 1943, the daughter of the late Lynn and David Pope.

She was a graduate of Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University. She enjoyed travel, reading, and loved rock and roll music and animals. She also enjoyed live concerts.

Carol raised two bright children and was confidante to many of their friends. She was a good listener, ready with words of encouragement. She loved a dirty joke.

She is survived by her children, Kevin and girlfriend Lorelei, and Natasha and son-in-law Drew Wheeler; two sisters-in-law, two nieces and a nephew.

She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin Newsom.
