Obituary

Brenda L. Staub-Lust, of Hartly, DE, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday September 8, 2017. She was 52.

She was born in Paterson, NJ on March 23, 1965 the daughter of Ruth C. Staub (Gross), of Columbus, NJ, and the late J. Norman Staub Jr.

She was a graduate of Mercer County Community College, Trenton, NJ, and had been the owner and coach of Gold Medal Gymnastics, Smyrna, DE.

Brenda had a lifelong passion for gymnastics, participating in the sport or coaching since 7th grade till the present. She was a Past State Chair of the United States Independent Gymnastic Clubs and was a Communicant at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover, DE

Brenda's favorite saying was "Gamba" – Go For It!

She was predeceased by her father, J. Norman Staub Jr.; and her Grandparents, Lawrence and Angeline Gross; and J. Norman Sr. and Frances Staub.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her partner Edward Kunzweiler, Clayton, DE; two daughters, Shannon Lust, Riley Lust; and a son, Connor Lust; her siblings, sister: Deborah Fraczkiewicz, husband, Robert, of Monroe, CT; sister: Laurie Ragan, husband Lawrence, of State College, PA; brother: Wayne Staub, wife Kathleen, of Manahawkin, NJ; brother: William Staub of Long Branch, NJ; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice.

A visitation will be held 5-7 PM Sunday September 17 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 AM Monday September 18 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE. Burial will be 12 PM Tuesday September 19 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ.
